Learn about a case study from a peanut breeding program, highlighting targeted sequencing using a custom SNP panel.
Discover how FlexPrep™ UHT Library Preparation Kit along with a Twist custom panel can help in your Agri genomics research.

Amplicon sequencing was previous used for the breeding population of peanut This records show cases FlexPrep™ UHT Library Preparation Kit with a Twist custom panel can aid in the breeding of peanuts in Japan. The custom panel was strategically designed to include two plant species, enabling a more cost-effective assay. This custom panel focuses on markers that are related to flavour and disease resistance. In the experiments, Dr. Shirasawa demonstrated strong performance: captured reads for 6,307 SNPs, with ≥20x coverage for 6,282 SNPs (99.7%) and ≥10x coverage for 6,302 SNPs (99.9%).
